I am nearing retirement and wanted to write forever, I wrote several novels in my head and I feel something good with words, I do not know where to start. I need some tips and ideas on the early stages.

There are so many kinds of writing there, online and live. I recommend you find a place more comfortable with the (next-ed local university library, libraries, local parks departments are good sources), or an online course or workshop credible.
